By chance, Marc discovered a special cocoa garden where only one single cocoa is grown. Out of curiosity, he made a separate batch of chocolate with this single nut.
The first trial batch was amazing chocolate with a very special, sour, characteristic tropical fruit and a warm cinnamon aroma in the aftertaste. Since the number of beans is limited and the yield per year also depends on the weather, he happily likens it to Black Pearl because it is dark Chocolate.
The name Black Pearl of The Mekong also comes out of this!
